Our group recognizes a critical need for adolescent girls treatment and believe that it can be provided in a way that achieves successful outcomes.

We propose to start a residential treatment facility for adolescent girls with substance abuse disorders and co-occurring disorders. We have designed a program where the patients will receive the best therapies available including equestrian therapy. The patients will have the advantage of excellent female therapists, teachers, and treatment assistants in their pursuit of recovery. We will utilize the latest tools that are being developed by neuroscience researchers.

Sun River Recovery will be providing medically monitored, residential treatment at a beautiful facility located north of Simms, Montana. Utilizing the best practices available, the program will provide state licensed and nationally accredited treatment. The patient care will take place in a facility that will be totally compliant with all Montana state and local codes and rules. The patients will receive individualized treatment under the direction of a licensed physician and mental health and addiction professionals. The location provides complete separation from adolescent and young adult males.

The program will include nursing services, mental health and addiction assessment, individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, family therapy, evaluation and tutoring for education and learning problems, life skills training, and equestrian therapy. We will use the best technology infrastructure available for assessment, treatment planning, process improvement, and insurance reimbursement. We will be using telemedicine to provide recovery management for patients after they leave the facility. We will also be utilizing telemedicine to work with the family members during treatment.
